Q-----Where is the Coral Reef Lounge on the Island? A-----From the bridge go north or left and travel Padre Blvd until you see Ship-Shape fine island wear and accessories on the right, and on the left, on the corner, is the Coral Reef Lounge
The Coral Reef Lounge 5401 Padre Blvd. South Padre Island, TX 78597 Q-----If we get hungry do you have something to eat besides chips? A-----Yes! We have a 12" Di Gornio Pizza for $10.00. Good stuff!
Q-----What are your business hours? A-----We are open from 9:30 am until 2:00am. This is seven days a week.
Q-----Do you have entertainment? A-----We are the Karaoke Capital of South Padre Island seven nights a week starting at 9:00pm until closing. YOU ARE THE STAR!
Q-----What goes on when the karaoke isn't going on? A-----We have five televisions and whatever sport is going we have it on. We have the finest juke box on the island with all types of popular nightclub selections. You can watch sports and tap to the music all at the same time while enjoying the beverage of your choice.
Q-----What type of crowd hangs out in the Reef? A-----The friendliest people in Texas. It is a local hang out and a winter Texan/snowbirds hang out in the winter.
Q-----Does the owner Mr. Chris ever light up his cigar? A-----NO! He only chews them.
Q-----Do you have specials and a happy hour? A-----YES! There is not happy hour on weekends and holidays but we have specials everyday.
Q-----Is this really the Green Bay Packers Headquarters SOUTH? A-----You betcha! Since we are this far south we kick it up a notch or two.
Q------Is this really the Racing Capital of south Texas? A-----YES! Every weekend. Denny Bortko has been promoting racing ever since he has moved to the island. He has this urge to convert NASCAR fans to CART or INDY CAR RACING open wheel racing. He has built a following as has the City of South Padre Island, TX. The City sponsors a NASCAR Craftsman Truck. We are building quite a race fan crowd here in the Rio Grande Valley through the efforts of many.
Q-----How can I learn more about the island and surrounding area? A-----Go to www.southpadrenetwork.com. You will find information on just about all that goes on around this area. Check out the live cameras on the beach and the bay.
Q-----Is there a good photographer on the island for weddings, anniversaries or special occasions? A-----Go to www.islandeventphotos.com and they will come on short notice. They are very reasonable and the quality is supreme. Weddings on the beach is the hot event. Book early if you are planning to get hitched! Call 956-371-3339 and ask for Jackie.
